Corfu to Mon Repos Park (5.3km, on foot): we bid farewell to the boat and took a cab to Hotel Cavalieri, where we'd be staying for a last night at the end of the trip. We were able to check into a nice corner room on the fifth floor, and spent a few minutes admiring our view. Libby and Gary were picking up a car and had offered me, Gina, and Beth a ride to check out the other side of Corfu Island. We decided to walk down to Mon Repos Park and check it out while waiting to meet up with them.

Corfu to Palaiokastritsa (26.1km, by car): Libby and Gary picked us up, and we headed across the island to Palaiokastritsa, where we walked on the beach and then got lunch.

Palaiokastritsa to Lakones and back (15.4km, by car): We'd read that the view from the mountainside town of Lakones was worth seeing, so we drove up, looked at the view while eating gelato, then returned to the bus stop in town.
