Corfu to Kontokali (7.6km, by bus): Gina and i didn't have plans for our last day in Corfu, so we decided to take the bus to Kontokali Bay, where The Durrells in Corfu was filmed. We had a couple of false starts with the bus, but eventually found the 7 route and took it up the coast to the peninsula.

around Kontokali and Gouvia (6.6km, on foot): we explored the peninsula, which was all closed for the season, including some Durrells filming locations and a deserted beach. Then we found a restaurant for lunch at Gouvia Harbor, checked out the ruins of a Venetian shipyard, and found a return bus stop in Gouvia.

around Corfu (3.0km, on foot): after getting off the bus, we look around the tourist area one last time, and then visit several parks alongside the water. We end up at the corner of the island, and have our last meal in Greece at a restaurant along the water, before returning to the hotel to pick up our luggage and head to the airport

CFU to DUB (2500km, by airplane): the only way we found to get home with only one change of plane, is to go through Dublin. We leave Corfu at 23:00 or so, arrive in Dublin late, and check into an airport hotel for a few hours
